Mix 94.5 Perth farewells Dean Clairs

Mix 94.5 farewelled radio legend Dean ‘Clairsy’ Clairs after 20 years on Mix 94.5, and 30 years overall with SCA.


Radio friends past and present, as well as loyal listeners, joined Clairsy, Matt & Kymba for their final show at Optus Stadium’s Locker Room.
 
Featuring Clairsy’s favourite songs throughout the show, there was also tributes from fellow Perth legends, including Damian Martin, Adam Gilchrist and Dennis Lillee, a $20k giveaway, live performance (of a special Clairsy version) of Don’t Change by INXS from Matt – accompanied by Proof the Band, and a live A Capella Christmas song by Human Nature.

A lap of honour around Optus Stadium finished a great morning.
 
Justin Longmuir also phoned in, acknowledging Clairsy’s contribution to the Fremantle Football Club over many years, and invited him to join the team’s photo ahead of the 2021 season.
 
Live guests to the show united many Perth media legends, including:
