This years finalists in the Mo Awards have been announced.

The ‘MO’ Awards for excellence in live performance, were first presented in 1976 with the late Johnny O’Keefe as the inaugural Chairman.

The awards were named in honour of Australian clown and comic Roy Rene, who under his character name of ‘Mo McCackie’, was one of Australia’s greatest vaudevillian and radio performers.

In the radio category the finalists were:

Live Radio Performer of the Year

Anne-Marie Coupe (Mix 94.5 Perth – Afternoon),
Ben Dillon-Smith (SAFM Adelaide – Afternoon),
Stuey Paton (Nova 100 Melbourne – Afternoon),
Toni Tenaglia (SAFM Adelaide – Morning) and
Michael Tunn (SAFM Adelaide – Drive).

Live Radio Team of the Year

The Amanda Blair Team (SAFM Adelaide – Breakfast),
Hot 30 – Kyle & Jackie O (SAFM Adelaide & FoxFM Melbourne – Evening),
Dean Kesby & Robin Bailey (B105 Brisbane – Drive),
The Morning Crew – Jamie Dunn, Penny Cooper & Ian Skippen (B105 Brisbane – Breakfast) and
Murray Wilton & Murray Olds (2GB Sydney – Evening).

The awards will be held on Monday 16th June 2003 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
