In a short statement on Sunday morning a spokesperson for SCA told radioinfo:

“Lawrence Mooney finished up on the Triple M Sydney Breakfast show in November 2021.

“Mr Mooney commenced proceedings in the NSW Supreme Court to dispute SCA’s decision to terminate his contract, which SCA defended.

“SCA and Mr Mooney have agreed to resolve the issues between them and for the proceedings to be dismissed.

“Mr Mooney and SCA will not be providing further comment.”

Mooney had begun proceedings against SCA in February for over a a million dollars in lost salary plus lost opportunity to earn incentive payments. Experts in this field suggest that in such cases the parties most likely settle somewhere in the middle to avoid further legal costs.
