Moonman’s 2 week break costs an extra $1,000

Lawrence ‘Moonman’ Mooney’s 2-week escape to Byron Bay has cost an extra $1,000 after the Triple M Sydney breakfast show host was fined by police for breaking lockdown orders.

This morning on Moonman in the Morning, Mooney was apologetic for his discretion, and made himself the subject of his daily ‘You Can’t’ segment, saying, “I’d like to apologise to the Triple M family for acting like King Cock of Cock Island.”

Mooney told his audience that he took full responsibility for his actions, and apologised to police for making them waste valuable time checking his story and issuing a fine, saying“I worked in a red zone right here in the Tower of Sound in World Square, that being Greater Sydney, live in a Green Zone, the Southern Highlands, didn’t self-isolate for the required 14 days before holidaying in another Green Zone, Byron Bay. I transgressed a public health order.”
