More narrowcasting licences available

The ABA has invited applications for five open narrowcasting radio services, one each to serve Alice Springs (FM 107.1), Katherine (FM 96.5), Tennant Creek (FM 104.5) and Yulara (FM 105.3) in the Northern Territory and one to serve Woomera in South Australia (FM 106.5). The ABA has set a reserve price of $4,000 for each of the five licences.

There are now 96 open narrowcasting radio licences currently on offer from the ABA. Applications for all 96 licences will close at 4.00pm on Friday, 30 August 2002.

Licences will be auctioned if there is more than one applicant for a licence. Applicants must purchase an information package for $40. An application fee of $550 also applies to each application. To purchase a copy of the package contact Paul Newton on (02) 9334 7927.
