This week the Advanced Radio class at the Radio Training Institute in Melbourne have been in simulation mode.

Everything from putting together shows, to scheduling rosters, music, even a putting together the station website has been covered and it has come with a lot of hard work and some stressful moments.

So this morning RTIFM‘s The Wake Up Call‘s (breakfast team) Tim and Em let their anchor Darcy in on a little secret about how they deal with the stresses of working in the fast-paced radio environment…

Meantime ABC RN Breakfast, which describes itself as “the show informed Australians wake up to”, has let their hair down (or at least covered it with a wig).

As the RTIFM breakfast team have acknowleged, radio can be stressful and who wouldn’t be stressed when every weekday you have to come up with ” a comprehensive coverage and analysis of national and international events, and interviews with the people who matter …”

So they took on the SketchShe stars in a lip sync video to blow out the cobwebs.

Take a look and if you are feeling under the pump today, this will bring a smile to your face. Even Mark Scott couldn’t help but feel warm and fuzzy, despite the Senate Estimates joke.
