New 2SER program lineup launched

New music, new talks and lots of your old favourites are part of Sydney Community Radio 2SER’s new lineup launched this week. For the first time since 1999, 2SER has given its program line-up “a spring clean.”

Things to look out for include a new music band of programs between 6.30-8.00 pm weeknights, where you’ll hear plenty of new releases from a broad range of musical styles. New music programs include an international rhythms show called Bambu Hut with Brent Clough on Monday night at 9pm; fresh new beats from the groove therapy collective on Fridays 12 – 2 pm; Outpost – an alternative country and roots show with Jason Walker on Monday mornings at 10.30; and acoustic music from original local singer/songwriters with Acoustica on Wednesday evenings at 6.30.

Music specials will be aired on Friday mornings 11am and Saturday afternoons at 2pm and a new Friday night hip hop show is also planned. The talks programs of an evening have moved later into the evening schedule, now beginning at 8pm. There’s also a number of “theme-based programs” each morning between 9am and 10.30 which cover creative features, in-depth discussion of public affairs, the arts, science, health, books & writing. 2SER is on 107.3 and can also be heard on the web at www.2ser.com.
