New audio escapade for Tim Ross

Comedian, radio favourite and self-described design nerd Tim Ross has teamed up with Grand Designs host Kevin McCloud to launch a new podcast.

Tim and Kev’s Big Design Adventure is an audio escapade, in which  architectural enthusiasts embark on a rollicking (and occasionally shambolic) journey, sharing their love of design by visiting buildings that inspire them, meeting the people who create or inhabit them and diving deep into the places that spark their imagination.

In Series One, Tim and Kev set their sights on London’s futuristic housing estates of the 1960s, visit an iconic petrol station in Denmark, get their Art Deco fix in the New Zealand town of Napier, unpack the genius of Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson, explore some of Sydney’s modernist gems and document a revealing eight hours in the football-famous Welsh town of Wrexham.

Tim says while the podcast is full of the joy of architecture and design, at times it’s also incredibly silly, and getting to experience it alongside his good mate has been an absolute blast.

“I spend a lot of time visiting great buildings, but getting to share the experience with Kevin has been one of the great privileges of my life.”

Listen to Tim and Kev’s Big Design Adventure on all major podcast platforms.
