SCA, LiSTNR and the Mushroom Group have partnered to launch a limited-edition digital station called MUSHROOM 50.
Celebrating Mushroom’s 50th anniversary and the upcoming theatrical release of the feature documentary, Ego: The Michael Gudinski Story, this digital station will tell the story of Mushroom Records, pay tribute to its founder and play the best of Mushroom Music.
Continuing the celebration, Melbourne’s 105.1 Triple M will host a week-long lunch time special called MG Moments. Hosted by Matty O’Gorman from Triple M’s 2023 ACRA nominated Homegrown with Matty O, the special will replay nationally at 10pm across Triple M’s metro stations and on LiSTNR.
This series will share stories from behind the scenes at Mushroom, from early talent signings to risking it all to sign Kylie Minogue. Matty O will interview some of MG’s best mates such as Lee Simon and Jimmy Barnes, with Michael Gudinski’s son and CEO of the Mushroom Group Matt Gudinski co-hosting a full show, sharing what it was like ‘Growing up Mushroom’.
MUSHROOM 50 and Triple M’s MG Moments are now on LiSTNR with the station also be available on Melbourne DAB+. Ego: The Michael Gudinski Story is in theatres on August 31.
