Nic Christensen has confirmed that he is finishing up at Nine Entertainment in late December to join SBS as Head of Corporate Communications.

He has been one of Nine’s main corporate spokesperson for the majority of his five years there, including overseeing the transition from Macquarie Media to Nine Radio.

Nic says, “I’m incredibly excited to be joining SBS, an organisation with a unique Charter and purpose. I am looking forward to working with the amazing storytellers at SBS and in particular amplifying the work that is being done to serve Australia’s multilingual and First Nations communities. I’ve loved my time at Nine and am so very grateful for the opportunities I have been given over the past five years.”

Nine’s director of communications, Victoria Buchan, says, “We have loved working with Nic and wish him well as he spreads his wings and moves to a new role. We will miss him but the Corporate Affair team here is in great shape and will continue to tell Nine’s story with the same passion and enthusiasm that Nic brought to the business.”

 His new position becomes effective in March and he will report to SBS Director of Corporate Affairs Clare O’Neil.
