When Nick Allen-Ducat joined the Brisbane Nova 106.9 Breakfast team at the start of this year, his daughter Flo was around six months old. Co-host (and former Olympic swimming champion) Susie O’Neill jokingly took it upon herself to be involved with Flo’s swimming education right from the start – just incase in was another Emma McKeon in the making, whom Susie had watched develop from a young age.
Maybe Flo is, but Susie is unlikely to be her teacher after helping with her first swimming lesson at Rackley Swimming in Spring Hill last Friday.
Flo cried through most of it, wanting absolutely nothing to do with her famous swim coach. After trying her best to win Flo over, Susie reverted to what she’s best at (besides radio) with Madame Butterfly swimming away.
Susie said it reminded her pf exactly why she never got into teaching swimming lessons!
