Nova 100’s Program Lineup for 2014

Nova 100 will kick off the year with Meshel & Tommy in breakfast and Kate Ritchie joining Nova’s national drive show Kate, Tim & Marty from Monday 13 January.

Nova 100’s new Melbourne breakfast team Meshel & Tommy will be heard weekdays from 6am to 9am. After an early start on-air in December, Meshel Laurie, Nova’s former national drive show announcer and Brisbane breakfast radio host, will partner with one of Australia’s hottest comedians, Tommy Little, to wake up Melbourne listeners in 2014.

In 2005 Meshel launched Nova 106.9’s breakfast show in Brisbane and in September 2011 the team, Meshel, Tim & Marty, moved to host Australia’s No. 1 national drive show. A regular on TV, Meshel built a strong rapport with Tommy in 2013 as co-hosts of the topical weekly chat show This Week Live.

Tommy Little is no stranger to Nova 100 with his weekend breakfast show heard every Saturday morning and covering for Melbourne’s breakfast team during the survey breaks. He had two shows running concurrently on television in 2013 and is one of the most talked about stand-up comedians.

On weekdays Nova 100’s Deano will return in mornings from 9am and Kelli Paun from 1pm.

Kate Ritchie will join Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold on Nova’s national drive show Kate, Tim & Marty from Monday 13 January. Kate is no stranger to Nova listeners. She is the regular fill-in alongside Sam Mac for Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa breakfast show and was one third of the Nova Sydney breakfast team throughout 2008 – 2009. A dual TV Week Gold Logie Award winning actress, Kate became a household name as Sally Fletcher in the Seven Network’s Home and Away.

Smallzy will return to host the No. 1 night show Smallzy’s Surgery from Monday 6 January at 7pm. In 2014 the biggest artists, bands and celebrity guests will continue to hang out in Smallzy’s Surgery. Last year Smallzy regularly trended in the top 10 worldwide on twitter.

Following Smallzy, Ben Wood will return to late nights from 10pm to 1am week nights on Nova around the country from 13 January.

Nova stations in Sydney and Melbourne are bringing out their big guns a week before Kyle and Jackie are heard on their new home at ARN. Fitzy and Wippa will be back on Nova 96.9 on Jan 13, and over at 2Day, the new breakfast lineup will also air from Jan 13.
