With the departure of Nova 969’s current General Manager Larry Bruce announced for the end of this month, DMG has moved quickly to appoint the interim GM who will take responsibility for station operations. Mandi Wicks, currently Nova 969 News Director, will assume the role of interim General Manager effective November 1.

“Mandi’s extensive experience as a management trainer and consultant for the nationally respected firm Talk Force provides her with a wealth of management expertise that will greatly benefit Nova during this transition period,” says Paul Thompson, DMG Chief Executive. “From the day she joined the company as Nova News Director, we anticipated that Mandi would have a larger role to play. She has proven herself a great News Director, and will certainly rise to the challenge of her new role.”

“I am gratified by the confidence that Paul and the DMG management team have placed in me with this appointment.” says Mandi Wicks. ” My goal will be to work with Larry to ensure a smooth transition, and continue to encourage the growth of Nova in both ratings and revenue.”

Effective immediately , Mandi will assume the role of assistant General Manager, and work with Larry Bruce to develop the transition plan.
