Nova filming a big ad for love and money

Last week Nova 969 officially launched its Love & Money campaign (see earlier story) to see how much love listeners really had for Merrick, Dools & Ricki-Lee. The $250,000 advertising budget,  normally seen splashed on billboards and bus shelters as the next survey begins, has instead been put on the line for listeners to win.

The brekky team have decided to film their biggest ad ever on Saturday 17 July at a secret Sydney location with up to 800 real listeners taking part in the filming, with each being paid $50 for their starring role.

In the campaign so far, a listener has decked out her boat with signage, people shave slogans into their hair, people hang massive banners in public places and celebrities like Kelly Rowland publicly pledge their love for Merrick, Dools & Ricki-Lee. Former champion waterskier, Lauryn Eagle, yesterday fought her first professional boxing match for love, not money, with the breakfast team in her corner and listeners declared their love for the Nova breakfast team with banners behind the tv morning news show Sunrise (photo right).

Now, the team has announced another exciting way listeners can earn money and at the same time show their love for Merrick, Dools & Ricki-Lee by being part of the station’s next tv ad.

The ad might not even end up on TV, because the station has already given away its  marketing budget, but it is just another way Nova 969’s listeners can show their support for Sydney’s Merrick, Dools & Ricki-Lee.

After the shoot, listeners will be sent the ad to watch on novafm.com.au and will be able to freeze-frame their exact spot in the commercial so they can show their friends their moment of glory. Every person who attends will be star in the ad.

The Love & Money Big Ad will be filmed on Saturday July 17 at a secret Sydney location. Listeners can register their interest in being part of the ad at the link below.
