Nova has launched a new App on the App Store called ‘ShopperNova’. The App is aimed at driving store traffic into bricks and mortar retail, with the free location-based app promoting brands and retailers in real-time.
ShopperNova works as a live feed, updating new promotions and offers as they are posted. The App enables consumers to receive instant notifications from chosen retail businesses based on their current locations.
This gives retailers the ability to promote live in-store promotions to legions of App users, and is designed to be acceptable for last minute promotions, allowing retailers to respond immediately to market conditions.
ShopperNova will also keep consumers up to date with the Nova radio stations. It will alert consumers when Nova has concert ticket giveaways, competitions, and other promotions.
Australia’s retailers and brands who have signed up to market using the App include General Pants, Diesel, Super Dry, Lorna Jane, Volcom, Boost Juice, AMF Bowling and more.
ShopperNova is coupon-free and the consumer does not have to commit to a promotion in advance. Neither does the retailer need to share its profits with Nova.
ShopperNova incorporates social media by allowing consumers to share promotions on Twitter, Facebook and via email. It also allows the consumer to identify their favourite retailers. These consumers will receive instant push notifications from stores once a promotion is placed.
