7HO is well on the way to achieving its goal in the station’s Million Dollar Job Hunt. $710, 000 worth of employment has been created in Hobart so far.

The campaign, aimed at getting Hobart working again has been running for 3 weeks and so far has seen employment created in industries from accounting, traffic control and hospitality to sales and hairdressing!

Tasmanian Premier Lara Giddings praised the results so far:  “It’s absolutely tremendous what 7HOFM are doing, because of the problems surrounding a lack of confidence in the economy. We need people to start investing in new jobs, to help people gain a steady income.  We do need job growth and we want more investment in this state.”

The station is aiming to create $1 million worth of employment for the Hobart community, helping job-seekers and employers in providing workforce solutions.
