Mix 106.5 Program Director, Sam Zniber, has resigned and leaves the station on 24 June to pursue a radio career in the United States.

Zniber has been responsible for the Mix logo change and the network’s improved consistency in branding and on air sound.

General Manager, John Williams, has told radioinfo he will be missed.

“I am appreciative of the work Sam has done in positioning the Mix 106.5 brand over the past two and a half years.

“Under Sam’s leadership, Mix 106.5 has become the dominant radio station with females 25-54 and, in survey #2, the station was nearly 6% in front of the closet competitor.”

With more than 20 years’ experience in music radio and music television, Zniber’s particular expertise lies in
building successful brands.

Before coming to Australia, he had a string of achievements for radio stations in France, the UK and Australia.

Mix 106.5 is looking for a replacement.
