Pink Test interviews available

Each year, the Pink Test at the SCG celebrates the life and legacy of Jane McGrath, who succumbed to breast cancer in 2008. Once known as the New Year’s Test, Day 3 of the Pink Test is now known as Jane McGrath Day in her honour, and money raised throughout the match is used to fund McGrath Cancer Care Nurses.

Media Heads has a range of people available for interview in the lead-up to, and during, the first 3 days of the Pink Test, from Friday 2nd to Tuesday 6th January 2026 inclusive.

The match starts at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday 4 January 2026, with Jane McGrath Day being on Tuesday 6 January.

During our lifetime, around 1 in every 2 Australians will be diagnosed with some form of cancer.  The McGrath Foundation raises money to provide Cancer Care Nurses free-of-charge for people pretty much anywhere in Australia who are going through the various stages of cancer, and this includes their immediate family. This is a huge help in a time of crisis for anyone going through cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Since 2005, the McGrath Foundation Nurse program has supported more than 167,000 people and their families going through the ‘cancer journey’.
