Stella Maris Catholic Primary School’s,  Mr Kurt Ludeke, has been voted favourite teacher on the Sunshine Coast.

For the past five weeks, the Hot91.1 Apple for the Teacher promotion has encouraged listeners to nominate the primary school teacher they think deserves a little bit of extra recognition. The staggering influx of nominations broke all kinds of web traffic records for www.hot91.com.au with in excess of over 460, 000 votes from schools all over the Sunshine Coast.

After a TOP 50 was established the voting was close, but Mr Ludeke from Stella Maris Catholic Primary School was ultimately awarded as winner.
 
Hot91.1’s  Sam and Edmo from THE HOT BREAKFAST surprised Mr Ludeke and his class with their prizes LIVE on air. Mr Ludeke received an iPad, iPod Shuffles for the class and an iMac computer for the school.
 
A former school teacher herself, Hot91.1’s Lynda (Edmo) Edmunds says this promotion has been a heart-warming experience to be involved in.
