Port Macquarie goes nuts for Cactus

In association with 2MC fm, the team from How Green Was My Cactus a sell-out audience at Port Macquarie’s Glasshouse on Saturday night in a 2 hour show starring Keith Scott and Robyn Moore with musical accompaniment from Beautifully Mad’s Tony King ands Kris Ralph.

2MC fm’s breaky legend Mark Strachan introduced the show, as well as joining in on a few of the sketches.

“The people of Port just love Cactus, it’s been part of their life for well over 20 years,” said Strachan, ”so when the Cactus team offered to bring the show to town, we jumped at it. And it was a sell-out!”

From just the two mouths of Keith Scott and Robyn Moore, a cavalcade of pollies past and present burst forth including Bonk Hawke, Malcolm Breezer, God Whitlam, Johnnie Hobbit, Pall Bearer, Julia Buzzard and of course Kevin Krudd, Tony Abscess, Treasurer Anthony Eyes-abeady, Jewellery Bishop and Malcolm Talkbull.

Bruce Ferrier who distributes Cactus through Grace Gibson Productions said, “The scripts remain incredibly sharp, and the acting performances of Keith Scott and Robyn Moore are stunning: they really brought the house down.”

Tomorrow will be the 27th anniversary of the original recording session of the series, and episode 5550 will be recorded on Wednesday.
