Earlier this year, our radio industry lost a true pioneer in in Mona Swinton.
Mona – a presenter, producer and foundation member of Victorian community station 3WAY FM – passed away in August at the age of 102.
She held these roles from the very beginning right up until she officially hung up the headphones at the age of 98.
Now, a fitting honour has been bestowed.
3WAY FM’s annual awards night, The Monas – named in honour of Mona herself – were held last Friday night at the station, where Mona was posthumously inducted into the 2024 Hall of Fame.
3WAY FM members also nominated their most popular presenters, with Frank Davidson awarded the Gold MONA, Stuart Prince the Silver and Ann Morris the Bronze.
