Power FM Hunter Valley kicked off its School Breakfasts program this week with the Breakfast show broadcasting live from Muswellbrook South Primary School.

Teaming up with Good Guys Maitland, and Coles, Power FM is driving a local initiative around the primary schools of the Hunter region, promoting healthy breakfasts to school kids.
 
Power FM’s Hunter Breaky Host, Nicky Ainley (better known to school kids locally as Nix) broadcast live from the school with a full-on breakfast being supplied by both Coles locally, and Kelloggs.

The station’s promotions team hosted loads of games with the school kids and gave away an amazing array of prizes including tickets to Disney on Ice and masses of toys thanks to Green Ant Toys.

“This was a first for the Hunter Valley area and the response has been huge.  We’ve been inundated with schools and their parents wanting us to bring our healthy start breakfast story to the school children in the region.  Already we have another 5 schools lined up and there are heaps more to come,” says Nix.
