Program changes at 5CS

The New 5CS has announced changes to it’s on air line-up. From Monday September 1 Barry Harris will take over the Breakfast Show from Alan Aitken.

Aitken, who is also the Program Director at 5CS, will host an all new morning program starting with the 5CS 9@9. Each weekday a local personality will be invited to join Al in the studio to play and talk about nine of their favourite songs. He will also continue to host the “Classic Café”

Kym Fidock will move into the afternoon and drive programs. The station will now have an on air host until 8pm each weekday including a new request show and a few surprises.

From 9pm to 6am 5CS will be running an overnight talk program to appeal to it’s vast shift working audience.

The John Laws show will cease on the New 5CS and the new Centre State Saturday Sportstalk with Barry Harris and Tory Caputo will keep listeners up to date with local sport.

General Manager Stuart Endersby told radioinfo: “this is the next stage of the New 5CS. We now feel that we are in position to put our final line-up in place ready for the introduction of our new and totally separate commercial FM station. The new 5CS is fast becoming the number one listening choice in the region for people 40+.”
