RA second most popular in Indonesia

Radio Australia’s Bahasa Indonesian Service, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, is still one of the most popular international radio stations in Indonesia, with an increased weekly audience now estimated to be in excess of three million listeners.

Radio Australia is the second most listened to international station in Indonesia behind the BBC World Service, Voice of America and Voice of Malaysia.

Head of Radio Australia Jean-Gabriel Manguy said “the latest audience survey results from Indonesia are particularly promising despite local and international competition.”
