In partnership with Relay For Life, Radio Goulburn’s Eagle FM and 2GN will be broadcasting live specials this weekend, including a 24 hour live marathon by Eagle FM’s Dylan Finch and Matthew ‘MJ’ Brokenbrough.
When the stations learnt that the local Relay For Life Organisers were prepared to abandon this year’s event due to Covid-19, they reached out to offer support and provide a platform for donation and fundraising.
Goulburn Relay For Life will be basing themselves outside the Radio Goulburn building while the onair team broadcast live.
This year’s relay is all about relaying in a covid safe way and locals have been encouraged to fundraise through an activity of their own choosing, and hence Radio Goulburn’s Radio Relay.
Kicking off 10am Saturday 31st October, the NSW Southern Tablelands can tune in to 93.5 Eagle FM and 1368 2GN to keep up to date with Goulburn’s 2020 Relay For Life.
On 2GN, breakfast announcer Craig Prichard and Afternoon announcer John ‘Banksy’ Banks will be co-hosting the special together on Saturday and will be back on Sunday morning as Relay For Life concludes.
Down the hallway on sister station Eagle FM, announcers Dylan and MJ will be co-hosting a live 24 hour broadcast going from 10am Saturday right through to 10am Sunday 1st November.
The pair recently began co-hosting Eagle FM’s new one hour ‘Recess’ program on weekdays from 9am, sharing a laugh or two before the studio changeover. The Southern Tablelands will now hear their banter for a full 24 hours and all for a great cause.
Radio Goulburn staff will be on hand taking calls for donations from listeners as well as local businesses who can donate and participate in fundraising challenges.
