Voting with their tastebuds and their wallets, the public of Mudgee has decided on the winner of Real FM’s Great Pie Challenge.
 
Mel Heldon, presenter on The Morning Juice defeated Andrew Andrews from Home Run, giving her Lamb Roast pie a permanent spot at the local bakery.
 
The pair started the competition as part of Real FM’s 18^th Birthday celebrations, challenging each other to create the best gourmet pie flavour. The local bakery then stocked the pies for 2 weeks and tracked which one had more sales.
 
Mel’s Lamb Roast Dinner pie sold out first day with Andrew’s Big Greek pie trailing from the outset.
