River 949’s Ilija Dugandzic has been promoted to Music Director and Mornings Announcer at the station. 

Since arriving at River in 2017, Ilija has assisted with programming at River 949, Adult Hits Stream and most recently programming Power 100 in Townsville.  

“I love River 949 and I’m looking forward to this opportunity and programming the music I love, especially the 80’s,” said Ilija.

River 949 Program Director, Drew Chapman says Ilija is on a hot streak.

“Ilija has had many different roles over the last 5 years and has nailed every one of them including previously being the Music Director for our station in Townsville Power 100,” said Chapman.

Ilija started his Radio career in Roma at 4ZR in 1999. He has also worked in Kingaroy, Maryborough, Toowoomba, Canberra and Brisbane.
