On joining Triple M for breakfast Robin said, “When Triple M offered me a role, I jumped at the chance.
“To join Marto & Ed for breakfast is a dream come true. It means I will be able to continue to do what I love most, broadcasting to the people of Brisbane. I’m really looking forward to this great new challenge.
“Of course it will be slightly different to what I’ve done before, but I’m very much looking forward to being a part of the Ed and Marto show.
“I love Rock music, I’ve been a sneaky listener of Triple M for years. Bring on more Cold Chisel I say!”
Southern Cross Austereo’s Brisbane General Manager, Damon Rielly said, “After hearing about Robin’s sudden departure from her previous breakfast commitments, we jumped at the opportunity to have her join Triple M’s breakfast show in 2017.
“Robin loves Brisbane and loves her rock and I can’t wait for Brisbane to wake up to Marto, Ed and Robin next year to start the day finding out what matters in Brisbane.”
Robin says she was “blindsided” by ARN’s decision, not to renew her contract at 97.3FM Brisbane as part of the Robin, Terry and Bob Breakfast Show.
However has gone on to say, “It’s been really gratifying to get so much support from so many people in the radio industry as well as listeners and friends.
And in the last couple of weeks hearing from several media outlets radio and television with some great offers of work.”
