Triple M Classic Rock Digital will fire up digital radio this month when it honours some of the world’s greatest rock legends! With four weeks of exclusive shows and content from rock icons Steven Van Zandt, Jimmy Page, Ronnie Wood and Brian Johnson, fans will get to know the men behind the music.
Each week of Rock Star Month will focus on one of the four legends, where they will share their stories, their music making and biggest hits. The month will also see the launch of The Ronnie Wood Show and The Brian Johnson Show on Australian radio with content never aired before in the country – until now!
From Monday July 7
Steven Van Zandt – As Bruce Springsteen’s guitarist in the legendary E Street Band, we have the Australian exclusive to his classic rock radio show Little Steven’s Underground Garage, along with audio exclusively recorded backstage with Van Zandt on the band’s recent Australian tour.
From Monday July 14
Jimmy Page – As Led Zeppelin’s guitar legend, Jimmy Page walks us through his fresh work remastering and re-releasing the band’s legendary albums Led Zeppelin I, II & III, in Australian exclusives recorded in both London and New York.
From Monday July 21
Ronnie Wood – This Rolling Stones icon will launch The Ronnie Wood Show on Australian radio, and we revisit classic albums in full with stories from the band, ahead of the Stones tour later this year.
From Monday July 28
Brian Johnson – As the lead singer of AC/DC, he presents The Brian Johnson Show on Australian radio. We also revisit the classic AC/DC albums in full and share stories from the band, who have just recently gone back to the studio to record new work.
Also launching today is the new Triple M Classic Rock Digital smartphone app for iOS and Android, allowing fans to get their fix on the go. The new app was built by All In Media.
