The statement read: “It is with sadness the station management wish to advise RTR 94.9FM will close transmission on the 31st December 2013 after 20 years of Broadcasting in the Upper Murray Region.
Our submission to the Minister of Environment for Re-subdivision of our Mount Mittamatite former Air Services site have been rejected.”

The Victorian Dept. of Environment and Primary Industries (DEPI) wants the land back and require the operators of the station, Ambassadors of Jesus & High Country Christian Broadcasters, to vacate the brick building and concrete infrastructure so that it can be demolished within the next three months.
