RTRFM 92.1 has appointed Simon Miraudo as the new General Manager of the station.
Simon is a long-time member of the station, best known as one half of the Movie Squad team and has been part of RTRFM Quiz Nights, and he says, “I couldn’t be more excited or honoured to take on this role at RTRFM, almost ten years to the day that I first joined as a volunteer. (In another ten years, I may finally figure out which USB ports to use!).
“I sincerely thank the Board as well as Karen and Chris for putting the station in such a strong position—during a strange, difficult year—which allows us now to look to the future of RTRFM. I cannot wait to work closely with the members and the wider community to ensure the station, and Perth culture, thrives.
Karen Lee, who left the position of General Manager and Chris Wheeldon, has been acting as Interim General Manager over the last six months. He will resume his role as Operations and Events Manager, with a greater focus on the Operational area of his role.
Simon joins the station on November 16th.
