Ryan Girdler departs Triple M to focus on family

Ryan Girdler will take time out from his radio and podcast work to focus on family. He told Code Sports (subscription required) that his father-in-law, who lives in Europe, is unwell and he wants to be able to support his wife Katya. The couple have two young daughters.

Girdler has been with Triple M since they began calling rugby league 13 years ago, as part of the commentary team and the Triple M Rocks Footy podcast game analysis. Separate to Triple M Girdler also had a podcast with former league and union player Ben Te’o called The Medicine which was about the game but with a broader focus on health and wellbeing, topics close to Girdler’s heart.

Nathan Hindmarsh will replace Girdler. Triple M have invested in a few new NRL faces this year with Beau Ryan and Aaron Woods now hosts of Triple M Sydney breakfast.
