Shortly after George Caralis and Despina Priala took over the management of the Super Radio Network they also assumed control of the five Coastal Broadcaster radio stations in Queensland. Of them 4AM and 4KZ were not talk based and would play music.
Chris Smith started on 2SM Mornings, replacing John Laws in January. He was networked to all 47 SRN stations, with significant backlash to the decision from listeners who had never had a talkback morning show amongst their music format.
Management has listened and reinstated the music as of today, Monday February 3. Newly appointed General Manager Rick Mackail joins that North Queensland arm of the network today too.
