Sam Smith is the big mover – AirCheck Survey

Sam Smith and Normani’s sultry collaboration, ‘Dancing With A Stranger’ was the week’s biggest mover on the AirCheck National Radio Airplay Chart, reaching No.12 by gaining a massive 385 spins in its second week on air.

Pop hit from Ava Max, ‘Sweet But Psycho’, reached a new peak, earning the crown for most played song on Australian radio last week, with 793 spins with 101.9 The Fox Melbourne spinning the track the most, followed by fellow Hit stations, Hit92.9 Perth and Hit105 Brisbane.

The new year delivered an abundance of new music to the chart, with Dean Lewis, Peking Duk and Ariana Grande all releasing tracks last week debuting at No.26, No.35 and No.37 respectively.
Dean Lewis followed his chart-topping hit ‘Be Alright’ with ‘7 Minutes’, off to a good start earning 328 spins in its first week while the Aussie boys Peking Duk teamed up with Jack River on ‘Sugar’ but it was Ariana Grande’s ‘7 Rings’ that broke Spotify’s record for the most streams in 24 hours, achieving almost 15 million plays.
