South Australia’s Power FM has celebrated its 25th birthday in spectacular style, taking listeners on a stroll down memory lane.
From giving away bull semen to the green promo V8 Ute, ghosts in the halls and a team with an unwavering spirit – yesterday, Power FM staff past and present relived it all.

Craig and Katie kicked the morning off with the first song ever played on the station – New Sensation by INXS.
They chatted to past announcers Damon Adams and Claire Murphy (now podcast host/Senior Producer – Mamamia), Dave Howard (the original GM, who also pulled shifts) and Molly Rose (now Jodie & Haysey’s producer on Nova 919).
Craig continued through the Wall Of Sound, catching up with Leith Forrest (Nights at 5AA) and Tom Lewis (of K rock Geelong’s Tom, Lingy & Loggy Breakfast show).
Joshua Nelson continued into the morning, catching up with Maria Foundas (panel op at Mix 102.3), Hamish Kearvell (Roo, Dits & Loz anchor at Triple M Adelaide) and Kristel Dally.
Adam Connelly took the reins for the afternoon, catching up with former colleague Steve Murphy (announcer at Mix 102.3)
Catch all the action from the day here on Power FM’s 25th birthday podcast.
