SCA CFO Peter Lewis resigns

A statement to the Stock Exchange this morning has confirmed that recently appointed Southern Cross Media Chief Financial Officer Peter Lewis has resigned.

Lewis was recently criticised by ABC Friends for conflict of interest, after taking on the SCA role so soon after getting access to behind the scenes corporate data about the ABC and SBS, as part of his review of the national broadcasters.

SCA announced a profit downgrade in May, announcing that profits are expected to be down by at least 10%.

The statement says Lewis will stay on until a replacement is found. An executive recruitment process has begun.

On May 1 this year, SCA Announced Lewis’ appointment, scheduled to begin on 16 June. Lewis  was previously Chief Financial Officer of Seven West Media, having spent a total of 15 years invarious Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer roles within the Seven group.

SCA’s full year results are scheduled to be presented next month, on 20th August.
