SCA Studio wins GOLD at the London International Awards

There must something in the water in Perth.

After winning Best Station Produced Commercial at the ACRAs, the Studio at SCA Perth has again won an award for their work on an audio campaign for WAAPA.

Their commercial ‘Copyright Infringement’ has won a Gold statue at the prestigious London International Awards. It was the only Gold awarded in the category (Conceived and Produced by station) and one of only two Golds in audio for the whole country.

This is the first international Gold LIA award for a radio network in Australia.

The commercial, a tongue in cheek promotion for WAAPA’s performance of the musical ‘Carousel’ was written by Aussie Moore and Mitch Mitchell and produced by Carl Step.

SCA Perth General Manager, Gina Hogan said of the win:

“The Studio continues to produce creative, engaging, results driven campaigns for their clients and receiving first an ACRA, and now Gold at LIA, is a testament to the quality of their work.

“We are proud to have been selected out of such a high calibre of finalists, including local creatives, which showcases the talent we have were in Western Australia.”
