SCA unveil new South Melbourne office

SCA unveiled their new offices in South Melbourne last week, bringing the whole team together on one floor in the state-of-the-art 101 Moray Street building.

The new location was announced over a year ago, and the wait ended last week with a grand unveiling to officially open the brand-new purpose-built spaces.

SCA hosted around 100 people the celebrate the occasion, taking groups through the new Fox FMTriple M and LiSTNR studios.

The office features 30 broadcast and recording spaces, purpose-made to resemble TV sets for use on digital video social platforms such as YouTube and TikTok.

The bespoke LiSTNR podcast recording spaces contain no large radio consoles, as all audio, visual and lighting can be controlled from anywhere. These capabilities offer total connectivity between creators in any office and any location.

SCA achieved its sustainability goals here, including smart lighting that monitors energy consumption, lithium batteries with twice the life expectancy of previous technology and electronic infrastructure re-use and recycling.

The sustainability goals saved $3.3 million by relocating SCA’s IT infrastructure and audio equipment.

With a ten-year lease on the space, a new era has begun for SCA at the South Melbourne building.
