Scratchy to the rescue in new Get Ready Queensland campaign

After Tropical Cyclone Albert unleashed on Queensland and Northern NSW earlier this year the Queensland Government have used the the potential of future disasters to create a campaign called the Get Ready Queensland’s Crisis Crew.

The crew is a kit of emergency essentials like Dunnita the toilet paper, Toot the can of baked beans and good old Scratchy (pictured) the battery powered radio.

The purpose of the fun campaign, for young and old, is around being prepared and thinking about what belongs in your emergency kit. That being said Scratchy had many people nostalgic, remembering recording songs off the radio onto cassette and bringing their ghetto blasters to school. You can read more in the comments above.

Do make sure you do have a transistor radio (or two) and plenty of batteries ready just in case.
