SEN breakfast show to be simulcast on RSN and other lineup changes for RSN927

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has confirmed initial program changes for RSN, following the acquisition of Racing & Sports Network (RSN) last week.

These planned changes to take effect from September 1, subject to completion of the sale:

SEN’s existing breakfast shows – ‘Fireball’ with Kane Cornes and David King on Mondays and Fridays, and SEN Breakfast with Garry Lyon and Tim Watson from Tuesdays to Thursdays – will now also be heard on RSN.

The breakfast shows will still feature a Victorian racing presence, familiar to RSN listeners, particularly around key news, races and events.

At the earlier time of 8am, Gareth Hall also returns to RSN with his daily show ‘Giddy Up’ to be heard across the RSN airwaves and simulcast on SENTrack.

Giddy Up with Gareth Hall will run from 8am to 12pm, continuing to deliver in-depth racing coverage, market moves and expert tips. The opening hour will focus on Victorian racing with in-depth previews, participant interviews and news set to feature.

The Thursday and Friday shows will also be streamed live via racing.com, expanding accessibility for fans across digital platforms. All Giddy Up shows will also be streamed on the SEN app thanks to bet365.

All the familir afternoon raceday programming will remain in place on RSN, including trainer interviews, mounting yard previews and live race broadcasts, ensuring continuity and quality in racing coverage.

SEN CEO Craig Hutchison also confirmed that RSN and SENTrack would have different race day coverages each day, allowing fans to consume racing content very differently and through a totally different lens.

Meanwhile, SEN has leveraged its extra reach to clinch a national sponsor. Aviso Group will partnership with Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) marking the group’s first national sponsorship. The sponsorship, which will run from July to September 2025, will reach almost 1 million listeners each week through SEN’s AFL Nation and NRL Nation broadcasts, as well as extensive digital and social platforms.

The initiative is a “strategic step for Aviso Group to engage with Australians through one of the nation’s greatest passions, while strengthening awareness of the vital role insurance brokers play in supporting businesses and individuals across the country.”

Travis Kemp, CEO at Aviso Group, said: “This initiative allows us to connect with Australians through their passion for sport, while providing us with the opportunity to reinforce the value of personalised quality advice delivered by qualified insurance brokers”.

“SEN is a natural partner for us, given their extensive reach and strong engagement with small business owners – many of whom make important insurance decisions every day.”
