SEN Drive presenter and former Bulldogs legend Bob Murphy has got together with his SEN mates to record a COVD-19 message from the station: Better Stay Home Please.
Almost as good a singer as he was a footy player, Murphy has co-written and recorded the song to the tune of Crowded House’s “Better Be Home Soon”.
The video clip features SEN stars Garry Lyon, Tim Watson, Daisy Pearce, Andy Maher, Gerard Whateley, Kane Cornes and Dwayne Russell.
Lyrics:
So we’re stuck inside
Isolation’s got a hold on you
you’re zooming your mates outside
but this won’t stretch on forever
SEN’s on your diiiiaaaaallll
for the best part of your life
and that’s why we tell you
you better stay home please
we’ll be here for you
like a trusted old friend
talking sport and life
stop us from going around the bend
and I know we’re right
hopefully not for the first time in our life
to help get rid of this virus
We gotta stay home… please
(bridge)
kids home school’s slow
parents tracky dacks on
but if you must leave home
gloves and face mask on oh (face mask on, face mask on, face mask on)
Gillon caused us pain
when he said to end it
but listen… to SEN
you can depend on it
And I know we’re right
for the first time in our life
that’s why we tell you
that sport will be home soon
oh whoa that’s why we tell you
you better stay home… please
