triple j Hack host, Tom Tilley, sat down with Sir David Attenborough in one of his most candid conversations so far.
In the interview Sir David slams Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s support for new coal mines and explains why he’s singled out Australia on climate change, saying “You are the keepers of an extraordinary section of the surface of this planet, including the Barrier Reef, and what you say, what you do, really, really matters.”
In what is seen as the most pointed Attenborough has been on Australia’s climate record, he adds, “The world is sick, we really have to do things about it. And there’s no more time for argument.”
Attenborough also divulges how he feels about life and death, what his least favourite animal is and how he feels about school kids participating in worldwide climate protests.
Hack will air the interview with Sir David over two programs from 5:30pm Tues 24 and 5:30pm Wed 25 Sept.
