British singer Paloma Faith has been signed up by smoothfm to host her own show.
The award-winning artist will be heard on the easy listening network for three weeks, adding to the celebrity power of the network that already boasts Michael Bublé, Olivia Newton-John, Keith Urban, Seal and Ronan Keating.
Faith has been climbing the Aussie charts at a rapid rate with the brilliant single Only Love Can Hurt Like This. It’s currently number one on both the ARIA and iTunes charts. Her album A Perfect Contradiction also includes the Top 10 single Can’t Rely on You.
Rohan Brown, smoothfm Program Director, says, “Paloma is one of the hottest recording artists in the world right now, smooth listeners are loving her smooth discovery Only Love Can Hurt Like This and it is tremendous that she has agreed to join the weekend lineup.”
The singer and actress told the Daily Record she likes being herself when taking on new roles. “I don’t think they even knew I was an actress. I went to an audition [for short film A Nice Touch] and they said that they liked my interpretation of the character and I said, ‘I’m just being myself’.”
Faith can be heard this Saturday 9 August from 4-5pm on smoothfm Sydney 95.3, Melbourne 91.5 and smoothfm DAB+ for the next three weeks.
