smoothfm and Sony Music Entertainment Australia have announced the release of their first Christmas compilation album, smoothfm Christmas, available from this Friday, 21^st  November 2014.
 
The 30-track album features holiday favourites from the latest and greatest artists of our time including John Lennon’s Happy Xmas (War Is Over), Annie Lennox’s rendition of Silent Night, John Legend’s take on What A Wonderful World and the iconic Band Aid anthem Do They Know It’s Christmas.
 
Paul Jackson, NOVA Entertainment Group Program Director said: “The festive season is one of the most special times for our listeners and we love being able to provide the soundtrack to their celebrations with family and friends. smoothfm is delighted to partner with Sony to produce an album featuring some of the best festive songs ever written, allowing listeners to enjoy the magic of Christmas wherever they are.”
 
Sony Music Entertainment’s Denis Handlin says the album “is a fantastic compilation of some of the world’s greatest artists singing some of the most well know Christmas songs of all time. This is the perfect complement to the outstandingly successful smoothfm compilation series that we have created together this year.”
 
This is the fourth partnership between smoothfm and Sony Music, with previous collaborations smoothfm Music for Mum and smoothfm – All Time Top 50 both debuting at #1 on the ARIA compilation chart.
 
In addition to major music and department stores including JB Hi fi, Sanity, Kmart, Target and Big W, smoothfm Christmas is also available on iTunes and Google Play from November 21st.
