smoothfm’s radiothon for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead

smoothfm will partner with The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for a second year for Radiothon, the hospital’s biggest fundraising event of the year, with funds directed towards lifesaving equipment and to assist in research for childhood diseases.

In its sixth consecutive year, Radiothon will celebrate the selfless work that happens behind the scenes at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

The smoothfm More Music Breakfast Show, with Bogart Torelli and Glenn Daniel, kicked off the stations on air support of the Radiothon campaign this week with a target of $4 million this year following on from $3.7 million that was donated last year

smoothfm’s Program Director, Georgie Page, says, “So many of us are touched by The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and like everyone we’re incredibly grateful for the work they do in getting families through some very tough times. It’s an organisation that our listeners rely on and are deeply passionate about, so supporting Radiothon was a natural fit for smoothfm 95.3. We’re looking forward to once again helping the Hospital continue their wonderful work.”

smoothfm will cross to the hospital during the Radiothon, on Friday 12 October, to share reflections of the actions of the Hospital’s community, along with updates on of the donation tally.

The smooth angels will be on site providing free mini massages with Working Hands Corporate Massage, manicures and hair makeovers from A Touch of Glitz & Glam, staff and patients will also be given posies from Twig & Vine, while Face Focus will offer face painting for children at the hospital.

Listeners can help provide a brighter future for children and families at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead by donating to the Radiothon from Thursday 11 October from 6pm to Friday 12 October at 6pm by calling 1800 770 122 or visiting the website.
