Spencer Howson joins 4BC

Former top rating ABC Brisbane weekday breakfast presenter Spencer Howson will return to the Brisbane airwaves in 2021 on 4BC.

He will host weekend breakfast, beginning towards the end of January.

Howson is the latest addition to an expanding lineup of local programming and presenters as 4BC “brings Queenslanders the stories that matter and news they can trust.”

4BC’s Content Manager Max Dudley, “couldn’t be more excited to welcome Spencer to host 4BC Weekends. His success and experience presenting on Brisbane radio is revered, he’s a Brisbane local who is passionate about local news, and he’s set to do big things in 2021.”

Howson says he is “looking forward to a new challenge, setting that early alarm again and getting back in the studio to bring a new wave of Brisbane listeners all the latest information to get them through their weekends.”

Howson has 25 years in radio, having hosted Brisbane’s most listened to breakfast show for 11 years. More recently he became a lecturer and tutor at the University of Southern Queensland, teaching the next generation of media presenters. 
 
4BC Weekends goes to air in Brisbane from 9.00am to 1.00pm on Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17, 2021.
