Star Observer Digital back for 2014

Following its successful launch in 2013, Star Observer Digital is back on air.

Star Observer Digital is Sydney’s only Digital Radio station for people expressing sex, sexuality and gender diversities and will broadcast through until March 16.

Powered by Sydney’s 2ser 107.3 and Melbourne’s JOY 94.9, listeners cab hear what it’s like to grow up queer in different cultures, get their gay geek on in video games, the history of LGBTIQPA music, a Eurovision show, as well as some great DJ sets. This year there will be more than five times the amount of unique content than last year.

Programs from JOY 94.9, 4ZZZ, Radio Adelaide, 3SYN and RTR will also be simulcast, bringing news and views from around the country. The Mardi Gras Parade will be broadcast live on March 1.

2ser Managing Director, Melanie Withnall, says, “This year Star Observer Digital is bigger, better and brighter than last year, with some great new news shows showcasing a diverse range of views. It’s also great to work with our partners, JOY 94.9 and the Star Observer”.

CEO and Publisher of Star Observer Daniel Bone is also enthusiastic, “We are very excited to be teaming up with 2ser 107.3and JOY 94.9 to put Star Observer Digital back on air in 2014. Star Observer Digital allows us to celebrate our diversity, share our stories, enjoy great music and connect the LGBTI and heterosexual community during the Mardi Gras season.”

The station can be heard on  Digital radio by going to Star Observer Digital or Star O or can be accessed through online streaming.
