Two remarks:
(1)
Kyle & Jackie O' on KIIS Melbourne. It isn't the issue of a Sydney-centric program working or not working in Melbourne. There have been successes ever since Jack Davey's programs from Sydney working Australia wide and various FM programs sourced from Melbourne working in Sydney.
There have been flops with the 2UE/3AK in the 1980s and 1377 MTR from Sydney/Melbourne.
It is too early whether K and J O' has flopped. They started half way through the current survey.
Nevertheless it is a risk that what works in Sydney will work in Melbourne.

Since the commencement of SEN1170 in Sydney, its ratings were 0.5% well behind 2KY. Today's survey it's SEN1170 at 2.1 leading 2KY at 1.4.
It is likely due to the breakfast program.
