Nova 106.9‘s Susie O’Neill got to spend her final day with the her Brisbane Breakfast Show Ash, Luttsy & Susie O’Neill in style with a special event called SUSIE O’CHELLA.

The day featured a crowd of listeners at Riverside Green, South Bank and Susie, as her alter ego, DJ Lazy Susan, playing a live DJ set.

The keys to the shitty

There were Souvenir T-Shirts and special guests including the Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, who presented her with “keys to the shitty”, keys to her own private change room at a local council pool. Brisbane Broncos legend Alfie Langer presented her with a personalised football jersey and Susie got to speak with her replacement next year, Nikki Osborne, which she said was akin to ‘meeting the new girlfriend‘.

Susie closed out her DJ set with Neil Diamond‘s “Sweet Caroline” but not her time with Nova. Susie will still make guest appearances and a podcast is in the works.
