Susie O’Neill named as Qld’s most influential radio star

The Courier Mail (subscription required) has named its power list of Queensland’s most influential radio stars.

Nova 106.9 breakfast co-host, Susie O’Neill heads the list. Suzie began appearing on Nova’s breakfast show in 2013 joining the program full time in 2019. The show won 10 of the following 13 radio surveys.

In March this year, Susie was invited to speak at the Future Women Leadership Summit and was appointed deputy chef de mission for the Australian Olympic team for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

An inductee of the Sport Australia Hall of Fame, she was elevated to become its 34th legend of Australian sport and was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for service to swimming at the elite level, as a mentor and role model, and to the community through support for charitable organisations.

Triple M Townsville’s Steve Price is next on the list having survived 30 years in breakfast radio, followed by Robin Bailey from KIIS 97.3, David ‘Luttsy’ Lutteral Nova 106.9 Breakfast radio presenter, Abby Coleman from B105 and Sofie Formica from 4BC.
